Pugh’Wee is operated by three certified Texas educators who share a deep passion for community development and empowerment. With firsthand experience in the education system, founder Kamrea Johnson launched Pugh’Wee to bridge the gap between environmental justice, sustainable agriculture, and the everyday struggles of underserved communities.
Grounded in lived experience, Kamrea envisioned a way to address insecurity and systemic vulnerability through action—not just advocacy. By applying the principles of culinary resilience, Pugh’Wee creates meaningful engagement with often misunderstood and overlooked populations, using food as a powerful tool for healing, cultural preservation, and economic empowerment.
